Therefore, having advanced through so many and such great examples, it is right for us to bow the neck and take our place in obedience, so that, ceasing from pointless rebellion, we may reach without any blame the goal set before us in truth.

For you will give us joy and gladness if, becoming obedient to the things written by us through the Holy Spirit, you cut away the unlawful anger of your jealousy in accordance with the appeal for peace and harmony that we have made in this letter.

We have sent faithful and prudent men who, from youth to old age, have lived blamelessly among us; they will also be witnesses between you and us.

We did this so that you may know that our entire concern has been, and still is, that you may quickly be at peace.
