Let everyone who “comes in the name of the Lord” be received. But after you have tested the person, you will know him, for you will have discernment between right and left.

If the one who comes is a traveler, help him as much as you can. But he shall not remain with you more than two days or, if needed, three.

If he wishes to settle among you and has a trade, let him work and eat.

But if he has no trade, use your judgment to provide for him, so that no Christian lives among you in idleness.

But if he refuses to do this, he is trading on Christ. Beware of such people.
