“If it is a vision of holy beings, they will reassure you and turn your fear into joy. But if the apparition is from the devil, it will immediately grow weak when it sees your firmness of mind. Simply asking, ‘Who are you, and where have you come from?’ is evidence of a calm and untroubled mind.
