The ruler of this age wants to snatch me away and corrupt my mind toward God. Therefore let none of you who are present help him. Rather, be on my side—that is, God's. Do not speak of Jesus Christ while desiring the world.
Let no envy dwell among you. Even if, when I am present, I beg you, do not be persuaded by me; rather, be persuaded by what I write to you. For while alive I write to you, longing to die. My love has been crucified, and there is in me no fire that loves matter, but living and speaking water within me, saying from inside, “Come to the Father.”
I do not delight in the food of corruption or in the pleasures of this life. I desire the bread of God, which is the flesh of Jesus Christ, who is from the seed of David, and for drink I desire His blood, which is incorruptible love.
